Every Other Day
Author: Jennifer Lynn Barns
Page count 336

Book description from GoodReads:

Every other day, Kali D'Angelo is a normal sixteen-year-old girl. She goes to public high school. She attends pep rallies. She's human.
And then every day in between . . .She's something else entirely.
Though she still looks like herself, every twenty-four hours predatory instincts take over and Kali becomes a feared demon-hunter with the undeniable urge to hunt, trap, and kill zombies, hellhounds, and other supernatural creatures. Kali has no idea why she is the way she is, but she gives in to instinct anyway. Even though the government considers it environmental terrorism.
When Kali notices a mark on the lower back of a popular girl at school, she knows instantly that the girl is marked for death by one of these creatures. Kali has twenty-four hours to save her and, unfortunately, she'll have to do it as a human. With the help of a few new friends, Kali takes a risk that her human body might not survive. . .and learns the secrets of her mysterious condition in the process.

My Review:

Every other day Kali is a hunter, she doesn't feel pain, she doesn't die no matter what shes put her body threw. She is anything but human at the time. The days shes not, she is completely human and vulnerable even when she wants to believe she can handle the supernatural that no human has lived threw.
She baits a very deadly and fatal persist for her to host.
And it gets a little bit more supernatural when she hears her persist talking to her.

I was a little weary about reading this book but it was really good! There was action threw the whole book! I thought that one death was not needed though.
It kept you guessing wanting to know who is who they really are and what will happen.

My Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
-----------------------------------------------
Sexual Content: Minor.
Language: Minor.
Violence: Serisouly Extream. Not for the weak in stomach.

My Review

I loved the story line of this book, the idea that Eve had a daughter before Eve sinned was really neat Eve's daughter knows no sin and there for can not sin.
I really did like the story, and it would get 5 out of 5 stars but, sadly, that isn't going to be what I'm rating this book.
My Rating: 1 out of 5 stars
I wanted to like this book so much... I actually finished it, even though half way I wanted to put down the book. I felt like I wouldn't be fair to the author not reading the whole book. I loved the whole idea of it, it was really interesting.
I love the concept of it and it would be given 5 stars if the language and sexual content wasn't off the charts. 105 words? seriously? I'm sure teenagers have pretty filthy mouths but shouldn't books be teaching them this isn't cool? And the sexual content, lets not go there. Not to mention attempted rape. and dog got killed, that took away one star for sure.

What really did it in for me was the language, I had to take a break from the book because it felt like it was too much.
If you don't care about any of this stuff then try the book.

Sexual Content: Very Heavy.
Lanuage: Heavy, 105 words.
Violence: Heavy.
